Exhibition graphics of the largest retrospective ever dedicated to the work of Dora Maar in France. Renowned photographer, she was part of the surrealist circle of Paris in the 30s together with André Breton, Paul Éluard and Georges Bataille.
An artist with a complex personality and imaginary, Maar’s artistic and personal evolution led her to experiment with other media such as painting or poetry without neglecting the political commitment that characterized her as a free and independent intellectual.
Exhibition curated by Damarice Amao and Karolina Ziebinska-Lewandowska, Curators at MNAM-Pompidou Center.
