French couturier Yves Saint Laurent was one of the driving forces behind the revival of haute couture in the 1980s, when he was just 21 years old. Successor to Christian Dior, he founded his own house in 1962, and until his death in 2008, he remained one of the most prolific and successful fashion designers in the industry.
This exhibition, curated by Olivier Saillard and Gaël Mamine, takes a closer look at the creator’s facet as a draughtsman, showing for the first time at the Musée YSL Marrakech a wide selection of the more than 60,000 sketches kept in the archives of the Parisian house.
