Les fleurs d´Yves Saint Laurent focuses on the designer’s enduring love of flowers and his use of floral motifs throughout his long career. It also highlights Saint Laurent’s admiration for literature, particularly the inspiration he drew from Proust’s In Search of Lost Time, a work rich with botanical imagery.
The exhibition features more than thirty garments, drawings, and accessories. Each section is accompanied by display cases resembling the pages of an open book, reproducing passages from Proust’s novel. Two paintings by contemporary artist Sam Falls, each incorporating plant elements, provide a complementary dialogue with the presentation. Curated by Olivier Saillard and Gaël Mamine, the exhibition is presented at the Musée Yves Saint Laurent in Paris.
