The Swiss artist Sophie Taeuber-Arp was part of the Zurich Dada movement, subsequently joining the constructivist groups in Paris in the 1930s. A versatile and original creator, she became by her own right one of the leading figures in the formation of the avant-garde.
Under the umbrella of the exhibition ‘Sophie Taeuber-Arp. Avant-garde Pathways’ this educational space was created so visitors are allowed to discover more about the life and work of this multidisciplinary artist and thus get closer to the fertile and dynamic context of the historical avant-gardes.
Exhibition curated by Estrella de Diego, Professor of Contemporary Art at the UCM.
