Mexican artist Damián Ortega is an explorer of space and its link to matter. His works, in which he often deconstructs objects and defies the laws of physics, articulate a discourse in which he uses irony to generate a reflection on human relations with machines in consumer society, technology and the perception of reality.
The exhibition catalogue, which brings together Ortega’s suspended pieces for the first time, includes an extensive selection of photographs and texts signed by the curator, Vicente Todolí, the critic Peio Aguirre, as well as 9 poems by the writer Rafael Toriz and a conversation between the artist Damián Ortega and Roberta Tenconi.
