From their birth to the present day, the holy books of the three Abrahamic religions, the Qur’an, the Torah, the Christian Bible (Old and New Testament) and the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) have been the vehicle for the spread of monotheism and count among their copies some of the oldest, most important and most beautiful editions in the world.

This catalogue, a trilingual edition of the exhibition of the same name, is richly documented and illustrated with photographs of manuscripts that combine the work of skillful calligraphers, bookbinders and artists who are masters in the art of using light-reflecting pigments.
