Aboriginal artist Sally Gabori is regarded as one of the most important figures in contemporary art in Australia in the last two decades. Her colorful, abstract and vitalist paintings are far removed from any prevailing Western cultural canon.
The catalogue of the exhibition, the first to be held in Europe, includes an extensive selection of her work, produced in barely fifteen years, and texts by renowned specialists in indigenous cultures that contrast the anthropological and geographical context with the life of the artist herself.
