Juan Muñoz was a Spanish sculptor, and one of the leading renovators of this discipline at the end of the 20th century, through the recovery of the human figure. This is the first retrospective devoted to his draftsmanship, which was of great importance for his sculptural work, but which also offers us a new look at the artist.
The catalogue, co-published by Centro Botín and La Fábrica, explores the artist’s relationship with drawing in the 18th and 19th centuries, especially in Spain, and shows Juan Muñoz’s facet as a draughtsman in 204 drawings and with texts by the exhibition curator, Dieter Schwarz.
