Since the first edition of the Royal Spanish Academy’s Dictionary was released, the academic work par excellence has had and has the purpose of collecting the general lexicon used in Spain and in Hispanic countries.
Its 23th edition has a design specially created to house 93.000 word entries, over twice of those that appeared in the first dictionary of use of the RAE (commonly referred to as DRAE), published in 1780.
