Design of the catalog for the ‘Picasso Ibero’ exhibition, the first exhibition to explore the influence of Iberian art on Pablo Picasso’s work through more than 200 pieces.
Co-edited by Fundación Botín and La Fábrica, it is an original confrontation that offers the possibility of reflecting on how the discovery of an autochthonous and “primitive” art contributed to the formation of the identity and artistic language of one of the greatest artists of the twentieth century.
The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Musée national Picasso-Paris and curated by Cécile Godefroy, with Roberto Ontañón Peredo as Associate Curator, and coordinated by Pierre Rouillard for the Iberian section.
‘Picasso Ibero’ can be visited from May 1, 2021 to September 12, 2021 at the Centro Botín, Santander, Spain.
