Anastasia Samoylova is a Russian-born American photographer who moves between observational photography and studio art practice. The main theme of her work focuses on the relationship between ecology and consumerism, and the inevitable corporatisation of the planet.
Image Cities is the result of exploring 17 cities with a critical eye towards the homogenising elements of the urban environment: billboards, and how the unfolding culture of globalization is gradually stripping us of our identity.
