Since 2022, the Prado Museum has hosted Poetas en el Prado, a lecture series that seeks to build bridges between the museum’s artworks and poetry. The initiative has also found its way onto the printed page through the publication of a series of plaquettes, produced in collaboration with Acantilado, featuring a carefully curated selection of five contributions by poets and artists Antonia Castaño and Gonzalo Escarpa, Mariano Peyrou, Isidoro Valcárcel Medina and Jaime Vallaure, and Maja Vasiljević.
Each of the five plaquettes is an independent publication whose design evokes and reinterprets the staging of the poetry readings.
